Video: Community Celebrates Library Renovations
The renovated library has both technological and aesthetic improvements.
After one year of renovations, the celebrated its official grand re-opening on Saturday with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Oyster Bay Town Councilman Joseph Muscarella and Assemblyman Joseph Saladino presented Library Director Debbie Podolski with two New York State citations.
"We recognize how special a library is and how central it is to a community, to our culture and to all that makes us who we are," Saladino said.

Nassau County Legislator Joseph Belesi also presented the library with a $30,000 check during the celebration.

"The library renovations have provided something for every age group," she said. "What we are finding is that it is becoming a place in the community, outside of work that people are coming to relax and read a book. This renovation provides a lot of opportunities for people to enjoy the library and do things that they come here to do."
