Blanchard pole vaults and runs hurdles for Farmingdale’s indoor and outdoor team. The continual support of her family helps Blanchard reach her goals. It was no surprise Blanchard was selected by Farmingdale High’s P.E. teachers, because according to her mom, “Elizabeth is one of those ‘driven’ kids.” She plans on studying sports management in college next year. Blanchard and fellow Farmingdale High School winner, Donald Gorski, along with other Nassau County winners, received their awards at a dinner this past December at the Crest Hollow. Blanchard’s Physical Education teacher, Ms. Campbell, attended the event.
