St. Baldrick's Foundation Head Shaving Event at Jackie Reilly's

On Sunday March 11, 2012, boys and men from local communities are gathering together to get their heads shaved in support and solidarity with kids suffering with pediatric cancers.  This is their second year hosting this worthwhile event locally at Jackie Reillys in Bethpage.  Last year they had volunteers from Farmingdale elementary and middle schools as well the Bethpage Fire Department and Holy Trinity High School.  They are optimistic that they can raise more than the $94,000 they raised last year.  They shaved 137 heads last year.  It will be a fun filled event being held from 12-7pm.

It's that time of the year again to help raise money for pediatric cancer research and have fun doing it.

Please consider being a shavee by forming a new team, joining an exisiting team, volunteering or just making a tax-deductible donation to the cause.  Of course, you can always just show up on March 11th to partake in whatever activities appeal to you. They will be having a rockin DJ, raffles, hair extensions, bake sale and face painting; not to mention drink and dinner specials!  Be a hero for kids with cancer!

Join this St. Baldrick's event, and whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you'll be a part of the excitement.
