Community Ushers In Holiday Spirit In Farmingdale
Tree lighting brings out dignitaries and big segment of community.
A community celebration led by Mayor Ralph Ekstrand, the Board of Trustees and a host of children and musicians ushered in the holiday season in downtown Farmingdale.
The annual Christmas tree lighting on the village green included Nassau Legislator Joe Belesi, members of the Chamber of Commerce and the Historical Society. Seasonal selections were peformed by Saltzman East Memorial School Senior Chorus, directed by Joan Drewes.
Refreshments were served in Village Hall after the tree lighting.
