Free Presentation Planned on Affordable Health Care Act
Concerned Citizens group to offer options as Affordable Health Care Act takes effect.
The Concerned Citizens Association of Farmingdale is hosting a special presentation on how to navigate the Affordable Health Care Act on Thursday at Allen Park.
The group will meet at the the Allen Park community center at 7:30 p.m. and present an expert who will explain what options local people have in choosing a health care plan. Beginning January, 2014 most people will be required to have health care insurance.
Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Council Director Stacey Villagran will present a power-point presentation, distribute handouts and answer questions regarding:
- The coverage differences between the four health plan insurance options offered by NYS – bronze, silver, gold and platinum plans.
- Help to select the best plan for your needs & budget
- Determine eligibility for financial assistance to help pay for insurance
- Help you to find the on-line insurance marketplace or complete your application. Please join us to help you to compare the NYS health care plan that’s right for you
