Howitt Welcomes New Members to National Junior Honor Society

More than 100 students inducted into the school's prestigious chapter.

Farmingdale's Howitt Middle School recently inducted more than 100 eighth grade students into the prestigious 'National Junior Honor Society,' recognizing their outstanding academic achievement.

Eligible students are required to have at least a 92 percent grade point average by the fourth marking period of their seventh grade year. The middle school's faculty council nominates and selects the students who display excellent academic and leadership skills to be inducted into the Howitt chapter.
