Long Island Teen Challenge Fundraises Locally

The nonprofit is dedicated to breaking drug and alcohol addiction.

The Long Island Teen Challenge, a nonprofit dedicated to breaking drug and alcohol addiction, is fundraising today in front of the Department of Motor Vehicles office at the Carmans Plaza Shopping Center right over the border in Massapequa.

The organization, which is tied to a few area churches, offers an outreach program that includes Wednesday and Friday night meetings each week at the Freedom Outreach on 641 Broadway (Route 110) in Amityville. Those meetings take place at 7 p.m.

Along with offering financial support, volunteers said Long Islanders can donate an old car to the organization. For more information, call 631-842-7707.
