A special "Spirit Day" was organized in honored of Mr. Jeff Galluzzo.
Last month, a remarkable man was honored by the remarkable members of his staff.
An entire day of work was dedicated to Jeff Galluzzo, the former assistant principal of Saltzman East Memorial Elementary School who died in October after a long battle with cancer.
The staff decided to dedicate the day to Mr. Galluzzo. It included the annual cage ball game against the 5th grade class and completion of the week-long celebration of school spirit, said Kathie Gaghan, one of the organizers.
Mr. Galluzzo's passion was school spirit, and in his honor, the staff created a "Team Galluzzo" t-shirt displaying his favorite saying: "Peace, Love & Fireworks"
