Looking for the perfect Christmas tree to fit your home? There are several locations nearby to purchase one.

Here are several tree types to consider before you head out the door:

  • The Douglas Fir has the softest needles for those delicate ornaments (not as good for the heavy duty ornaments).
  • The Fraser Fir is the longest lasting with strong needles for those heavy ornaments.
  • The Balsam Fir is a darker tree with soft needles and is the most fragrant if you want the Christmas tree air in your house.
  • The Noble Fir has long, strong needles and gives off the Christmasy fragrance like the Balsam.
Here are some locations in the Farmingdale area selling trees:

Farmingdale Massapequa
  • DeSanto Brothers Nursery at 893 North Broadway in Massapequa. They have a selection of trees and other floral arrangements.
  • Abby's Parkside Nursery and Florist will sell trees and other holiday arrangements. They are located at 3333 Merrick Road in Wantagh.
  • Dank tree experts will once again have a large selection of tree at 5800 Old Sunrise Highway beginning Saturday. 
Syosset:
  • St. Edward the Confessor School 2 Teibrook Avenue, Syosset; the sale includes high quality Frazer Balsam Hybrid trees and wreaths. Hours are:  9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends; 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays.
  • Home Depot; 111 Jericho Turnpike, Syosset.
Westbury:
  • Hicks Nursery, 100 Jericho Turnpike, Westbury. All live trees receive a fresh cut, trim and net-wrapping with purchase.
