LIRR Adds Extra Trains Tuesday for Holiday Rush Home

Five additional mid-afternoon trains run through Hicksville station.

The Long Island Rail Road has added extra trains for Tuesday, working to get commuters home early for Christmas Eve festivities. The extra trains are:

Port Jefferson Branch:

  • 2:08 p.m. from Penn Station stopping at Jamaica, Mineola and local, including Hicksville, to Huntington.
  • 2:29 p.m. from Penn Station stopping at Forest Hills, Kew Gardens, Jamaica, New Hyde Park and then local, including Hicksville, to Huntington
  • 3:24 p.m. from Penn Station stopping at Jamaica, Mineola, Westbury and Hicksville.
Ronkonkoma Branch
  • 12:46 PM from Penn Station stopping at Woodside, Jamaica, Mineola, Hicksville and local stops to Ronkonkoma, including Bethpage and Farmingdale.
  • 1:38 PM from Penn Station stopping at Woodside, Jamaica, Mineola, Hicksville and local stops to Ronkonkoma, including Bethpage and Farmingdale.
