Funeral Service for Edmund Mayer
Holocaust survivor was engineer, professor at Farmingdale State.
Funeral services are scheduled Sunday for Edmund Mayer, a Holocaust survivor, who died Thursday.
Mayer, who was 82, was imprisoned with most of his family in a camp in Austria but eventually escaped. They came to the United States in 1949.
He worked as an engineer and eventually taught physics for 30 years at Farmingdale State College.
Services will be held at Guttermans, 8000 Jericho Tpke, Woodbury.
