Three people were injured Monday morning in a three-vehicle accident on Wellwood Road.
Suffolk County police gave the following account:
The 26-year-old driver of a 1998 Ford was traveling north on Wellwood Avenue when his vehicle collided with 2007 four-door Nissan driven by a 25-year-old Manorville man who was making a left off of Edison Avenue onto southbound Wellwood Avenue.
After the Nissan struck the Ford, the Ford spun out and struck a 2004 Town of Hempstead truck operated by a 50-year-old man. Two female passengers in the Ford were transported by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The responded to the accident.
