The and several other local departments are responding to a fully-involved fire that broke out at around 3 p.m. at Rudy's Auto Repair on Fulton Street.
"We are working on it," said the Village Fire Department dispatcher at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday.
Nassau County Police said that the fire departments appear to have the situation under control.
The commercial structure is happening on Fulton and Potter Street, right at the Nassau/Suffolk line. The large fire has closed Northbound Carmens Road at Route 24, E.Main St at Route 109 and Route 109 at 110.
Traffic is backed up in all directions surrounding that area.
