Cops: Damage Near South Farmingdale 911 Memorial

Police said bricks from a retaining wall were thrown around the memorial area.

Nassau County police on Saturday said flowers were torn from the ground and interlocking bricks from a retaining wall were also pulled out at the 911 Memorial in South Farmingdale. 

The damage was found by a a Town of Oyster Bay Safety Officer who entered Kathy Mazza Memorial Park at the end of Elm Avenue.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
