Cops Hunting Gas Station Robber

Cops searching for man responsible for nighttime Valero gas station robbery.

Cops are searching for a man that robbed a South Farmingdale gas station Sunday night.

Nassau County Police said a 57-year-old employee at Valero Gas Station on Merritts Road was approached by a man inside the store. The subject, described as a white male wearing a black hooded jacket, demanded money from the register and kept his right hand under his jacket, cops said. He reached into the register and fled the scene on foot with an unknown amount of cash, police reported.

No one was reportedly injured.

The incident happened at 9:23 p.m. Sunday, cops said.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
