Cops: Man Robbed Farmingdale Bank Friday

The man presented a demand note and made verbal demands, police said.

Nassau County Police are seeking the public's help in the investigation of a robbery that occurred in Farmingdale Friday morning. 

Detectives say a man entered the Chase Bank at 334 Main Street at 11:06 a.m. Police say the man presented a demand note and made verbal demands for cash to a teller. After the teller complied, the man fled on foot in an unknown direction. 

The man is described as black and between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10. He was wearing a black button shirt, black tie, white pants, light colored hat and sunglasses, police said.

No weapon was displayed, and there were no injuries reported. There were six employees and two customers in the bank at the time, police said.

Detectives request that anyone with information regarding this crime to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
