Cops: Ride-On Mower Stolen in Oyster Bay

A ride-on mower in Oyster Bay was among several reported thefts related to cars and vehicles in our area, according to Nassau County Police.

Cops said Oyster Bay, Syosset, Plainview, and Farmingdale were among communities targeted in these thefts within the past few weeks, cops said.

In Oyster Bay, a ride-on mower was stolen from a lot on Bayview Avenue. Police said the theft happened on June 3 and reportedly took place at about 6 a.m.

The Second Precinct reported the following incidents:

• May 30: Petit larceny; Willets Drive, Syosset; briefcase stolen from car.
• May 31: Criminal mischief; Virginia Avenue, Plainview; car keyed.
• May 31: Criminal mischief; Phillip Drive, Farmingdale; slashed tire.
• June 1: Car stolen; Main Street, Farmingdale; car left running and taken from lot.
• June 2: Criminal mischief; Walnut Street, Farmingdale; car window broken.
• June 3: Grand larceny; Bayview Avenue, Oyster Bay; ride-on mower stolen from a lot.
• June 4: Criminal mischief; Dupont Street, Plainview; car kicked.
• June 5: Car stolen; Heisser Lane, Farmingdale; car left running and taken from lot.
• June 6: Criminal mischief; Lincoln Street, Farmingdale; car egged.
