Cops Seek Public's Help in Adventureland Heist

Foursome made off with $2,500 from cash boxes.

Suffolk County Police are seeking the public’s help to identify the suspects who broke into the cash boxes of numerous arcade machines at Adventureland on Broadhollow Road in September.

Suffolk detectives said two men used a tool to pry open the cash boxes of about 23 arcade machines at Adventureland in East Farmingdale shortly before noon on Sunday Sept. 16.

The men were aided by two unknown women, who acted as lookouts.

The thieves made off with more than $2,500, police said.

One male suspect is described as average build, with short dark hair. The second male suspect is described as heavy set with a shaved head. One female suspect has light-colored hair, pulled back in a ponytail. The second female suspect has dark hair, pulled back from her face.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS.  All calls will be kept confidential. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
