Cops: Three Thefts Reported Nearby

Area businesses targeted; woman charged in Syosset theft of credit card.

Three major thefts were reported near Farmingdale within a week, according to Nassau County Police.

Both commercial and residential sites in Plainview, Levittown, and Hicksville reported thefts of jewels, CDs, and speaker equipment.

A fourth grand larceny resulted in an arrest this week in Oyster Bay.

  • May 17: Grand larceny; Scappy Auto Body, Hicksville; GPS, amplifier, equalizer, woofer speaker with box taken.
  • May 23: Grand larceny; Senior Citizen Housing, Plainview; diamond cut stones stolen.
  • May 24; Grand larceny; Target, Levittown; CDs stolen and recovered.
