Crime Report: Marijuana, Loaded Gun

A blotter of the latest arrests and incidents in Farmingdale.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department, Nassau County Police Department, and New York State Police Troop L.  It does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests:

  • Rodell Morena-Delgado, 21, of Farmingdale, was arrested on Oct. 24 at 6:20 a.m. for DWI and traffic violations. According to reports, a state trooper stopped a Nissan Maxima for moving from the lane unsafely on the eastbound side of the Southern State Parkway near Route 110. While interviewing the vehicle operator, the trooper detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. Morena-Delgado failed sobriety and produced a positive breath sample of .09% BAC.
  • Marlon Coates, of North Amityville, was arrested on Oct. 24 in East Farmingdale for criminal possession of a controlled substance.
  • Carol Champion, of Amityville, was arrested on Oct. 24 in East Farmingdale for criminal possession of a controlled substance.
  • Michael Quinn, of Deer Park, was arrested in Farmingdale for criminal possession of marijuana.

  • Grand larceny occurred on Wellwood Avenue in Farmingdale on Oct. 21.
  • Criminal mischief occurred on Genova Court on Oct. 20. and Baiting Place Road on Oct. 22.
  • A West Hempstead man was arrested on the eastbound side of the Southern State Parkway near Route 110 in East Farmingdale just before 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 25. He was arrested for second degree criminal possession of a weapon, a Class C felony, and traffic violations.
  • Police are still searching for a woman who stole credit cards in Huntington for purchases in Farmingdale and the Whitman Mall.  According to police, the unknown person took two Visa credit cards from a pocketbook that was underneath an employee’s desk at Mt. Sinai Medical Center, located at 120 New York Ave. in Huntington, Sept. 6.  The credit cards were used the next day at the Apple Store in the Walt Whitman Mall and at Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call 1-800-220-TIPS.  All calls will be kept confidential, according to police. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
