Crime Report: Thefts, Drug Possession

A blotter of the latest arrests and incidents in Farmingdale.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department, Nassau County Police Department, and New York State Police Troop L. It does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests: 

  • Dyshaun Flournoy, 23, of Brentwood was arrested June 2 and charged with fifth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and traffic violations.  Reports indicate Flournoy was stopped by troopers at approximately 2:20 a.m. for allegedly failing to signal while turning onto Walt Whitman Rd., in Melville.  Upon being pulled over, the trooper noticed Flournoy was presenting signs of nervousness and admitted to having drugs in the vehicle.  3.6 grams of crack was allegedly located in the vehicle.    
  • John Han, 30, of Yonkers was arrested May 30 and charged with DWI.  Reports indicate a Trooper was dispatched to a reported hit and run car crash on the westbound side of the Ocean Parkway near the Nassau/Suffolk County border. Han, the operator of an unknown vehicle told the Trooper, according to reports, that a Nissan cut him off causing him to strike the curb on the shoulder of the parkway.  The Trooper noticed that Han was intoxicated.
  • Adnan Huzaifa, 28, of Bayshore, was arrested May 30 and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a marijuana and traffic violations.  Reports state at approximately 11:45 p.m., a Trooper stopped Huzaifa traveling in a purple Saturn for allegedly moving from a designated lane unsafely.  This occurred on the eastbound side of the Southern State Parkway.  Upon being pulled over, the Trooper noticed an odor of marijuana and Huzaifa admitted to smoking marijuana in the vehicle earlier that day.  The Trooper discovered one gram of cocaine, four grams of marijuana and a glass marijuana smoking pipe.

  • On May 26, at approximately 11:00 p.m. and 12:10 p.m., numerous items were discovered stolen from vehicles parked at UA Theaters located in East Farmingdale.
