Crimes Nearby: Weapon Bust, Fraudulent Credit Card Bust, Robbers Caught

Recent criminal activity reported for Bellmore, Merrick, Levittown and East Meadow.

The following information is taken directly from the Nassau County Police Department's incident reports. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime.

Bellmore

  • A North Bellmore man was charged DWI and criminal possession of a weapon after he was pulled over on the Southern State Parkway Saturday morning. Click here for more.
  • Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice announced on Wednesday that the final defendant in a violent 2011 home invasion in North Bellmore received a maximum sentence of 25 years. Click here for more.
  • Sometime between 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 5 and 6 a.m. on Dec. 6, a vehicle's tire was punctured on Beford Avenue.
  • On Dec. 8, between 2-6 a.m., a vehicle's side view mirror was broken off while it was parked on Davenport Place.
  • Sometime between 6 p.m. on Dec. 6 and 8 a.m. on Dec. 8, property was stolen out of a vehicle on Linwood Avenue.
  • On Dec. 15, at 4 a.m., items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked on Elderberry Road.
  • Sometime between 1 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Dec. 15, a cell phone was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Lincoln Boulevard.
Merrick
  • Sometime between 6 p.m. on Dec. 9 and 7:30 a.m. on Dec. 10, $70 cash was stolen from a vehicle parked on Bond Court.
East Meadow
  • Judge William Donnino delayed the sentencing of Herber Guzman Thursday after the convicted murderer from East Meadow asked for a new lawyer. Click here for more.
  • On Dec. 12, at 8:37 p.m., the victim and two friends entered Yummy Chinese Restaurant while the suspect stayed in the car. When they returned to the car, the suspect was gone along with stolen property.
Levittown
  • A Baldwin man who was pulled over by police in Levittown was found to be in possession of 15 fraudulent American Express and Visa credit and gift cards, Nassau County Police said. Click here for more.
  • Nassau County Police have arrested two Queens Village men for a strong of gas station robberies in March 2013 around Nassau County, including one robbery in Levittown. Click here for more.
