Farmingdale Firefighters Put Down Blaze

Mutual aid assisted from surrounding companies called to fight Jerome Drive fire.

Farmingdale firefighters were called to fight a serious blaze in a home on Jerome Drive in Farmingdale morning.

The fire broke out about 8:30 a.m. in a two-story split level at 32 Jerome Dr. The home suffered heavy smoke and fire damage, firefighters said.

Firefighters from South Farmingdale, Bethpage, Plainview, East Farmingdale, and Massapequa responded to offer help.

There were no immediate reports of injuries. The cause was not immediately available.
