As a major winter storm approaches Long Island, Farmingdale State College has cancelled all classes and activities as of 3 p.m. Friday.
The college said that the "deteriorating weather conditions" have also forced the cancellation of all classes and activities for both Saturday and Sunday.
The college, on their website, advised supervisory personnel to use their best judgment in releasing employees in the event of an early dismissal.
Employees should keep personal safety uppermost in their minds when deciding whether or not to travel to and from campus, the college said.
