Fire Department Hosting Annual Blood Drive

Make a life saving donation at the blood drive on Dec. 18.

It's that time of year again. 

The East Farmingdale Fire Department is hosting their annual blood drive at their Conklin Street location in East Farmingdale on Dec. 18. 

Donations will be accepted on behalf of the New York Blood Center from 2-8 p.m. in the station's all-purpose room.

Each donation will help towards saving up to three lives at local community hospitals.

In order to be eligible, donors must be between the ages of 16-75. Those 16 and under require parental permission while those 76 years of age and older must have a doctor's note of approval.

All participants who have received a tattoo in the past 12 months or those who are under the 110 pound minimum are not eligible.

The organization requires all donors bring photo ID to participate.
