Friday Night Crash in East Farmingdale Injures 7

A teen driver was arrested after the motor vehicle accident on Route 110.

Seven were injured and a teen driver was arrested after a motor vehicle accident in East Farmingdale at 1:45 a.m. this morning, according to Suffolk County police.

Police report that Matthew Ross, 17, of Farmingdale, was driving a 1994 GMC Suburban southbound on Route 110 in East Farmingdale when he lost control of his vehicle and struck the rear-end of a 2008 Mercury driven by Tatiana Jennings, 23, of Wyandanch, who was stopped and attempting to make a U-turn at the intersection of Route 110 and Allen Boulevard.

Ross was driving four passengers. Passenger Javior Rivera, a 16-year-old Farmingdale male was seriously injured in the crash and was transported to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow. Ross and passenger Onofrio Cottone, 19, of Farmingdale, were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Nicole Fiordicono, 17, of North Massapequa, and Amanda Horn, 19, of North Massapequa, were treated at Nassau University Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.

ennings and her passenger, Joy Robinson, 21, of Far Rockaway, were both transported to Nassau University Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Ross was charged with driving while intoxicated. An arraignment has not yet been scheduled.
