Pair Charged in Burglary at Farmingdale High School

Two local women, both 21, accused of walking into classrooms and stealing calculators and digital scales.

Two women walked through an unlocked door at Farmingdale High School this month and stole a Kindle tablet and several digital electronic scales from several unlocked classroom, Nassau County Police said Monday.

Stephanie McGuire, 21, of Massapequa, surrendered to police Sunday, nine days after her alleged accomplice, Stephanie Bristol 21, of Farmingdale, was arrested in connection with the case.

The pair are accused of entering the high school through an open door just before 5 p.m. on Oct. 8. They went through several classrooms and walked out with the items. The pair then sold the items to a local pawn shop later that same day, police said.

Bristol also broke into the school on Sept. 25 and took five calculators , which were also recovered at the same pawn shop, police said.

Bristol was arrested at her home on Oct. 11 and charged with burglary and five counts of criminal possession of stolen property.

McGuire was charged with burglary and one count of criminal possession of stolen property.
