Pair Rob Man on Farmingdale Roadside, Shoot at Fleeing Car

Victim, 23, was allowed to leave but suspects opened fire.

A man who had pulled over in Farmingdale to make a phone call was accosted by two men, including one with a handgun, demanding the keys to the car, money and the victim's cellphone.

When the driver handed over his cell phone, he was allowed to drive off but the suspect's fired three shots at his car with a BB gun, Nassau Police said.

The robbery took place Tuesday night on Sherman Road in Farmingdale when the two men approached the idling car.

The suspects approached the 23-year-old's car and two men approached on the drivers side. One displayed the gun and demanded the victim's cell phone, keys to the car and money, police said. 

The driver passed over his cell phone, but had no money to offer, but refused to abandon his car. The suspects allowed him to drive off, but then fired three rounds at the car, all three striking the vehicle and shattering the rear window, police said.

The driver wasn't injured, police said

Police describe the suspects as two male Hispanics. One is described as 6’ tall with a goatee and the other 5’ 10” tall.  The shorter suspect with the goatee displayed a handgun and demanded the cell phone, keys to the car and money.

The suspects fled in an unknown direction.
