One person was injured in a car accident on Conklin Street Wednesday morning, fire officials said.
The accident occurred on the corner on Conklin and Walnut Street. Both Nassau and Suffolk County Emergency Service Units and and Fire Departments responded to the scene, since it happened on the county border.
Emergency personnel used hydraulic tools to remove the doors of the car to free the trapped driver who was airlifted to NUMC by NCPD Aviation unit #4, which landed in the parking lot.
