A Youtube video captured a crowd of teenagers after he apparently misbehaved, by pounding on and then overturning his car.
The incident occurred Sunday at the Airport Plaza. Suffolk police responding to the scene found an overturned car and impounded it. The Youtube user and others said that the driver had dragged his girlfriend by her hair and then attempted to hit bystanders with his car. The crowd, in turn, overturned the vehicle after pounding on the hood, roof and sides.
What do you think? If people in the crowd felt endangered, were they justified in their response? Or should they have simply walked away or notified the police? Have you ever been in a similar situation?
