Bicyclist Dies in Crash on Route 110

Route 110 shut down Monday morning after three vehicles strike, kill bicyclist.

A bicyclist was killed in an accident on Route 110 in Farmingdale Monday morning, Suffolk County Police say.

Marvin Alfaro-Morales, of Farmingdale, was attempting to cross Route 110 at Del Drive at 6:30 a.m. when he was hit by a vehicle traveling south, police said. He was then struck by two more vehicles, according the the police.

Police say the drivers of the vehicles sustained no injuries and remained at the scene. Their cars were impounded for safety checks. No arrests were made.

Suffolk Police shut down Route 110 near Route 109 heading north and reopened around 11 a.m.
