Footprints in the snow led to the arrest of two Massapequa Park men on a burglary spree, according to Nassau County Police.

Cops said John and Eugene Wallace, both 23, of Massapequa Park, were charged with the burglaries of four convenience stores on the South Shore in the past several weeks.

Police nabbed the two after responding to a burglary alarm call at Park Stationary & Smoke Shop on Park Boulevard in Massapequa Park at 4:30 a.m. Monday, officers said. Responding officers found fresh footprints in the snow leading away from the back door of the store and were led to a First Avenue home, cops reported.

The two subjects left the home shortly after and police, observing the home from a distance, conducted a “field stop,” said police. Cops said they found lottery scratch-offs on Eugene that were taken in that morning’s burglary. Both men were taken into custody at the scene.

Detectives discovered the two were responsible for four other robberies at The Barn stores in North Bellmore, Freeport, Hewlett, and Merrick, officers reported.

Eugene Wallace was charged with five counts of third-degree burglary and fourth-degree criminal mischief. John Wallace was charged with four counts of third-degree burglary. Both defendants will be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.

I do agree about Mangano not doing a good job. Mist if these politicians are corrupt and only care about themselves. Nassau is starting to look more and more like Queens. It is sad that we pay all these taxes and get crap in return. Now we have to worry about protecting ourselves from crap on the streets....like these two drug addict losers above. I don't care what Nassau has to do, but they better think if something.
