State: Deer Park Business Owner Failed to Pay $182K in Sales Tax

Dean Marchese is charged with fourth degree grand larceny.

The owner of a Deer Park auto body shop has been arrested and charged with grand larceny for failing to pay $182,888 in sales tax owed to the state, according to the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance.

Dean Marchese, the principal owner of Deer Park Auto Body Corporation–formerly Deer Park Collision, Inc.–was arrested in June 3, officials said. 

Marchese, 52, is accused of underreporting $2,120,443 of the auto shop’s sales for the tax years 2009 through 2012. 

Marchese, of West Babylon, is charged with one count of fourth degree grand larceny. He is is scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on June 17.
