Suffolk Cops Charge Man in Farmingdale Burglary

Wyandanch man charged in connection with multiple break-ins, some during the storm's blackout.

Suffolk County detectives have charged a Wyandanch man with burglarizing a home and two businesses darkened by Hurricane Sandy and a previous burglary at a Farmingdale delicatessen.

Antron McCloud, 21, was charged Monday with felony Burglary counts in connection with the break-in at a residence on North 20th Street in Wyandanch and commercial burglaries at the Getty Gas Station, 1580 Straight Path, Wyandanch, and Wyandanch Drugs, Inc., at 323 Merritt Ave., Wyandanch.

In addition, McCloud, of 28 North 16th St., Wyandanch, was charged with four other commercial burglaries which occurred prior to the storm. According to police, these crimes occurred at:

  • Brothers Wine and Liquors, 1300 Sunrise Highway, Copiague
  • 1571 Straight Path Grocery, Inc., 1571 Straight Path, Wyandanch
  • Last Stop Buy and Sell, 781 Deer Park Ave., North Babylon

McCloud is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Central Islip.
