Fire marshals are investigating a suspicious fire that broke out at an office trailer used for the recent Barclays Golf Tournament in Bethpage State Park.
The fire was reported about 11:45 p.m. Wednesday inside the park just off Quaker Meeting House Road. Farmingdale firefighters responded to find the trailer ablaze near its foundation. Crews from South Farmingdale and East Farmingdale were called to the scene and the fire was quickly put out.
No one was inside the trailer at the time; no one was hurt, firefighters said.
Nassau County fire marshals, who investigate suspicious fires and determine their causes, were called to the scene.
