Farmingdale Man Hurt in Scaffolding Accident

Scaffolding gives way at home in Lindenhurst, injuring two.

Two men were injured Tuesday afternoon in a scaffolding accident in Lindenhurst.

Suffolk Police said at approximately 4:10 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon two men were working on a home on 33rd Street when the scaffolding gave way.

One, a 41-year-old man from Farmingdale, sustained injuries to both legs, police said. The other, a 40-year-old Massapequa man, sustained head injuries.

Police said there was no word about how serious the head injuries were, but sources said he was unresponsive at the scene.

Though a medevac helicopter was called to the scene, landing at nearby , both men were transported to in West Islip by ambulance.

Both men work for Monster Home Improvements, police said.

Police officials had no other details about the Tuesday afternoon accident or the identity of the two men.
