American Legion Day
Suffolk County Legislators and Steve Stern recently introduced legislation declaring September 16 American Legion Day in Suffolk County. Their bill was unanimously adopted at the General Meeting of the Legislature on September 15.

“It is indeed fitting that Suffolk County designates September 16 as American Legion Day to honor the great men and women who’ve served our country and continue their commitment to our community today.” Horsley added.

Legislator Horsley recently presented proclamations to Paul Buffa, commander of American Legion Sergeant John Sardiello Post 1634, West Babylon; Joseph Regina, first division commander of the Suffolk County American Legion; and Robert Romano, first vice commander of Wayne Middleton Post 1839, North Babylon to commemorate the day.
