The will be flushing hydrants Friday starting after 11 p.m. The selected hydrants will be flushed through the village water system into the early morning hours.
Customers of the Farmingdale system may experience discolored water during and after the flushing.
The department said if discoloration occurs, run your faucet tap until clear.
If your service does not clear up after 15 minutes, call the Farmingdale Fire Dispatch at 516-531-9820, which will contact the water department’s standby personnel.
