Farmingdale Library Budget Passes

The budget calls for a 0.8% tax levy increase.

Voters approved the proposed 2011-12 budget Tuesday night and also re-elected incumbent trustee Laura Ulric to the board.

The library’s $3.57 million budget passed by a vote of 256-111. The tax levy percentage increase is 0.8%.

Like other municipalities, sources of revenue for the library, like interest income, are down this year, while mandatory costs like employee benefits are up. For a full list of the library's income and expenses, see the .pdf in the photo gallery.
