Fuschillo, Bartone Project to Be Honored

Event to honor those for leadership on smart growth.

State Sen. Charles Fuschillo, R-Merrick, and the Bartone Plaza project in Farmingdale are leaders and projects that will be recognized at the 11th Annual Smart Growth Awards in Melville later this month.

The June 15 event at the Huntington Hilton recognizes leaders and projects in such areas as transportation, housing options, clean energy, compact design, planning and creating a sense of place.

Fuschillo and Sandi Vega will be recognized for their work on the NYS Complete Streets law.
