Homeland Security Precautions: How Concerned Are You?

Feds say precautions should be taken in wake of recent, non-specific threats.

Federal officials, including U.S. Rep. Peter King, R-Seaford, and members of the FBI and Office of Homeland Security on the precautions they should take in the wake of recent, non-specific terror threats against U.S. targets.

They stressed that there is no specific, credible threat against any Long Island synagogue or other institution. They urged the leaders to be vigilant and consider a security assessment provided at no cost by the government.

It's been nearly 11 years since the Sept. 11 attacks. And yet a in Farmingdale Tuesday caused hour-long delays on the Ronkonkoma branch.
