Landmarks Preservation Commission to Meet Wednesday

TOBAY commission recommends historical sites for preservation.

The next scheduled meeting of the Town of Oyster Bay Landmark Preservation Commission will take place Wednesday, Jan. 9, according to Councilman Chris Coschignano.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the Town Board Hearing Room of Town Hall East, 54 Audrey Ave., Oyster Bay.

The commission was formed in 1974 to recommend sites which have historical, architectural or antiquarian significance for preservation. It is comprised of seven members.

There are currently 37 buildings, a railroad turntable and one cemetery with Town landmark status.
