LIRR Passengers Suffering 60-Minute Delays Following Crash
Service was suspended between Hicksville and Mineola; trains to Farmingdale are impacted.
The Long Island Rail Road is experiencing 60-minute delays along its main line through Hicksville following the earlier crash of two work trains.
The delays impact both directions on the Port Jefferson and Ronkonkoma branches due to the earlier suspension west of Hicksville. That will impact trains arriving in Farmingdale.
The railroad is operating trains on one of two tracks west of Hicksville while working to clear the track maintenance vehicles that were involved in the earlier incident from another track.
