Long Island Restaurant Week Returns

Farmingdale restaurants join in the event.

Three Farmingdale restaurants are among the dozens participating in the sixth annual Long Island Restaurant Week that kicks off Sunday.

Restaurants will offer $24.95 menus of three dinner choices, appetizers and desserts.

Participating in Farmingdale are Caracara Mexican Grill, Palmer's American Grille

and The Melting Pot.

This year, partnering with Long Island Restaurant Week and L.I. Tweetup, several restaurants will collect donations for Island Harvest  and host meetings between L.I.Tweetup members to benefit Island Harvest.

Five restaurants, including Thyme Restaurant in Roslyn, Vittorio's in Amityville, in Huntington, Grasso's in Cold Spring Harbor, and Nick & Toni's in East Hampton, will collect donations of cash, non-perishable food or supermarket cards to .

The event runs all week, ending Nov.13.
