Republican Primary Tuesday [Poll]

New York has 95 delegates for the taking in Tuesday's Republican Presidential Primary. How will Farmingdale vote?

While the race is all but over, the Republican presidential field casts its eyes to New York with Tuesday's primary and 95 delegates on the line.

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney is the clear frontrunner, but Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich remain in the race. This is a closed primary, so only registered Republicans can vote. You can look up where to vote on the Board of Elections website.

It's also primary day in Connecticut, Delaware, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island, meaning 222 delegates are at stake. Romney leads the field with 685 delegates, more than halfway to the 1,144 needed to wrap up the presidential nomination, according to The New York Times.

The latest Quinnipiac poll has Romney leading in New York with 54 percent of those polled. Rick Santorum, who suspended his campaign April 10, was a distant second in the poll with 21 percent.

Yes, Santorum is still on the ballot, according to the state Board of Elections.

All of which begs the question: Who will Farmingdale vote for Tuesday? And with Romney holding a nearly insurmountable edge, what issue resonates enough to bring you to the polls? Tell us in comments.

If media tells people someone holds an 'insurmountable edge' that is manipulation, imho, a self fulfilling prophecy. Romney can yet be DENIED enough delegates to win on the first ballot by voting for Ron Paul. Also, candidates can win delegates by DISTRICT so if your district votes for Ron Paul he can win delegates even if the entire state doesn't. Your vote counts, regardless of what the media tells you. It is up to you to use it.

All good points. Thanks.

Minnesota shows us that the media can try all they want to put their candidate in office but the people will ultimately decide. If you have a strong opinion, go out and vote! It's not too late to stop this manipulation and it's not too late to save this country from accelerating down the same path. Do your research and put someone in office who is not being bought out and has opinions that benefit both you and this country.
