Senator Kemp Hannon sponsored a free car seat safety check on Sept. 30 at .
Traffic Safety Educator Chris Mistron from the Nassau County Traffic and Safety Board thoroughly checked car seats for proper installation and security. At one of the safety checks last year, Mistron discovered 20 parents who had their child's car seat improperly installed.
Farmingdale parent Jody Albano, who has three car seats in her van for her 4-year-old, 2-year-old and 3-month-old boys, visited the safety check.
