Community Update

WARNING!!! MUST READ - VERY IMPORTANT!!! If anyone wants to go to a restaurant where the manager physically assaults you and u get robbed of $ go to Sakura in Farmingdale. Lisa the manager has a NAC for cursing shoving and hitting her customers. I threw my bf's 35th bday party there on saturday 3-29-14. I left a $100 deposit the 2wks prior for 30 ppl. The manager Lisa gave me a gift certificate as a receipt for the deposit to put towards our actual dinner. Due to the weather only 16 ppl arrived to the restaurant, I was not aware of them not being able to show until I had arrived to the restaurant. I told Lisa the manager and our server as soon as I found out and that I would leave an extra $50 since half the party didnt show. Lisa the manager laughed in my face and told me I would have to forfiet the deposit and pay our dinner bill in full. Since we weren't able to fill one of the hibachi tables. I explained again that is not only ridiculous but not right. Considering they were able to put other customers at the other hibachi table (9 ppl in total - half the table count size) (Total of $183.) I asked the server to get the manager Lisa again but she came back telling us that she was too busy to speak to us. (the restaurant was DEAD - due to the pouring rain) I tried to get Lisa's attenion several times but she kept walking past me. Since she refused to speak to me, I left eh $100 deposit and an extra $27 cash. Once I stepped outside with my party Lisa chased after me shoving me screaming that I'm a bitch then proceeded to hit me with the bill book. I asked her to calm down and and speak to me not yell. She proceed to hit me with the bill book again and grabbed my arm trying to bring me back into the restaurant. (Left arm bruised up) Even her busboy who was outside with Lisa the manager had to hold her back and tell her that she can not put her hands on ppl. She again went to shove me and my boyfriend stepped in front of me to block the manager from touching me again. She then decided to start hitting and shoving my boyfriend. They called the cops bc I now definitely refused to pay more than what I had fairly given. I go back into the restaurant after the cops leave to try to discuss and maybe even settle the bill. She again started to call me a crazy bitch in front of the staff and customers and denied that I gave an extra $27 to the server until the server showed her the money. Once I finally raised me voice at her she again called the cops on me and my party bc she said I was causing a scene in her restaurant. I completely lost it and yelled but it's ok to put your hands on your customers? Once the cops came, (2nd time) they again explained to her - 1- There was no signed contract saying we agreed to the forfiet of the $100 deposit. 2- The reciept she gave me clearly stated Gift Certificate which means just that. 3- My bill was $83 and the deposit was for $100 plus I left an extra $27 in cash which means they made out with an extra $44. 4- I could easily press charges against her and the restaurant since she "assaulted" me. End result - I'm going to the police today after work to file a police report and press charges agains the manager Lisa. I have bruises and scratches over both arms.
