Farmingdale School District’s Howitt Middle School students Joseph Gyedu and Luke Guener recently took part in a unique NASA Space Camp Program.
Seventh grade students were asked to write essays explaining why they would want to attend the space camp and what they would gain from it. The two best essays earned the opportunity to attend Space Camp
As a result, Joseph and Luke were able to participate in the prestigious program in Huntsville, Alabama. The students learned about historical space missions, met astronauts and dressed up in NASA suits.
