Coming Up: Shredding as Fundraiser

There's something for everyone in Farmingdale this week.

There's no shortage of activities in Farmingdale this week. Here are a few events to pay attention to, whether you're drawn to government meetings, line dancing or the urge to shred your documents in a good cause.

Monday: The Village Board meets tonight at 7 in a work session, followed by its regular meeting at 8 p.m.

Tuesday: Seniors will be getting awards at Farmingdale High School, 6 p.m.

Wednesday: Feel the urge to kick up your heels? Try line dancing at Dave & Busters, 7 p.m. Rookies and experienced are all welcome.

Thursday: Farmingdale State College hosts the Law Enforcement Special Olympics Torch Run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. And later in the day, Farmingdale High School varsity athletes will be honored at 6:15 p.m., at the high school.

Friday: It's Grandparent Time at the Farmingdale Public Library, a storytime for youngsters and a special person, 10:30 a.m.

Saturday: You can protect your identity, clear away some clutter and help Farmingdale youth baseball all at the same time. Farmingdale Baseball League (FBLI) will have a mobile shredder at its office at 66 Motor Ave in Farmingdale from 2 to 4 p.m.  Donation $10 to FBLI.

Sunday: Get fit. They promise to be kind. Join the community boot camp workout at Allen Park, 7 a.m.
