Farmingdale High School Knitting Club Warms Heads and Hearts

Students in the Farmingdale High School Knitting Club recently took part in a local St. Baldrick’s Foundation Fundraiser for the fourth consecutive year.

A nonprofit volunteer-driven organization, St. Baldricks Foundation raises money for children’s cancer research. The Farmingdale club members knitted more than 60 hats with various yarns and materials for their peers who shaved their heads to raise funds to support childhood cancer research.

This year’s program drew nearly 400 attendees – nearly twice as many as last year's event.
